Not on our projects. Cross River does not receive public subsidies, discounted electricity, or preferential rate structures. We pay the same rates as other industrial customers. We do not ask for public money, and we do not receive it.

Who carries the financial risk:

Every dollar invested in a Cross River project is private capital. If a project succeeds, private investors benefit. If a project fails, private investors bear the loss. No public commitment is required for our projects to proceed, and no public budget is at risk if they don't.

What governments receive from our projects:

–      Property tax revenue to the municipality and province, beginning at construction and continuing for the life of the facility.

–      Income taxes on wages paid during construction and operations.

–      Sales taxes from high-value tech and equipment

–      Indirect tax revenue from economic activity created in the supply chain and broader regional economy.

–      Transmission fees and utility revenues from electricity consumption at standard industrial rates.

Governments earn from these projects. They do not pay for them.
