Cross River Infrastructure Partners is a North American energy and infrastructure developer based in New York and Toronto and led by Canadians, with deep experience in Canadian energy infrastructure. We are not a technology company, and we do not operate data centers. We develop powered land and the enabling infrastructure on which experienced operators build and operate digital infrastructure.

The data center market is much broader than the enormous AI training campuses that tend to dominate headlines. The facilities we develop are intended to support a diverse range of digital infrastructure needs, including:

– Enterprise and cloud computing supporting the everyday digital operations of businesses and institutions.

– AI inference and applied AI, where trained models are deployed to provide services to businesses and end users, rather than campuses dedicated primarily to training increasingly large AI models.

– Government and public-sector workloads, including organizations with security, resiliency, privacy, or Canadian data residency requirements.

– Financial services, healthcare, and other regulated industries requiring secure, reliable and compliant digital infrastructure.

– Technology companies and digital service providers that need scalable computing infrastructure close to the businesses and users they serve.

– Sovereign and Canadian cloud infrastructure, providing an important domestic option for organizations that require or prefer their data to be stored and processed in Canada.

Our objective is therefore not to develop single-purpose technology campuses. We develop flexible digital infrastructure capable of serving a broad mix of enterprise, cloud, AI, public-sector, and technology workloads.

Canadian data sovereignty is an important part of that opportunity, and we believe communities can benefit from digital infrastructure that supports the broader economy while being developed responsibly, with careful attention to energy, environmental impacts, local infrastructure, and long-term community value.
